Climbing (Sport) 1:15:00 [4]

Sport climbing with Steve (& Lynne briefly) at Wynd Cliff quarry, in the sun (tops off at times!)

Massively hard work! 8 routes. completely shattered later - sport climbing a lot harder than trad! (physically). failed on a 6b but got up 2 6a+ and at the end did a slab "6a" that was v thin - glad to onsight it.

Need to rest arms....../shoulder.

Climbing (Trad) 1:00:00 [2]

Trad climbing in Avon gorge, 2 routes, led everything, HVS 4c, HVS 5a, really felt on form today, great friction - cooler temps?

With Dom G who was happy too. Sore knee. Climb tomorrow as well.....

Note
(rest day)

Short walk around Lydstep mini-peninsula - as in run last night - Liz came. So sad to see her hobbling. 9 months after operation, she wasn't enjoying the short walk & was clearly in pain. Heartbreaking.

Back to Bristol.
My flight to Athens next month has been cancelled by EasyJet. Oh.

Running 1:04:55 [3] 11.5 km (5:39 / km) +254m 5:05 / km
shoes: Innov8 MudClaw 300 2019

Pembrokeshire coast path run. Started out well then the run became secondary to the views & scrambling up rock spires to gawp at the cliffs. Went as far as Lydstep. Stunning evening light as well. Missed a turning back (had no map with me), so ran all the way (!) back to Manorbier bay/beach and then shuffled back up hill to finally arrive back at luxury house where i spend my 3rd night. Fab. West Wales is awesome.

Walking 3:12:00 [1] 11.19 km (17:09 / km) +140m 16:09 / km

Day walk in Pembrokeshire - coast path and beyond, Marloes head area. Some great views & saw seals & pups on many beaches from above.

Sadly Liz had tried jogging saturday (on physio's advice), & her knee payback was pretty cruel. She had to drop out of the walk, & I finished the last 3km alone, then drove her back.

Staggeringly high price to pay for slipping off the climbing wall 10 months ago, and was operated on 9 months ago.

Nice to be away - 6th mini-break since my return from OO Cup. live once - live now.

Climbing (Bouldering) 1:00:00 [3]

Bloc steady climbing indoor bouldering - annoyingly LH deltoid was sore this morning, and niggled during the session, but not too badly, and I quit before I had destoyed myself, too.

Off to Pembrokeshire for a few days with Liz who is there all week. Wonderful.

Had intended to easy climb at Bloc (shoulder improving), but will postpone. Body says no.
