Note

Stanage (Popular) climbing with Tim. Grim - many problems, failed on 1st route, things kept going wrong for me! lowered off gear on a VS. Huge struggle on a later VS. Made Tim lead stuff. Took the pressure off me. We did about 6 routes....

Good day, tho. even when climbing's going badly, when it's here (Stanage, fab waether), it's amazing.

Nice bouncy run from home before driving to Sheffield. Put in one effort then still felt good.

Climbed at Froggatt Edge for the 1st time - loved it . HS 4c is the new sandbag grade - struggled! Soloed 2 routes when Tim went back. BBQ & beers in garden - this is becoming a habit! Bloody fantastic.

13 hour day door to door - London, initial scoping meeting with NICE to review their guidelines (which are currently appalling) for ME/CFS. I was representing the patient advisory group of the CMRC. & got expenses.

Totally shattered last night from 9.5 hours out at Oldbury court.
Slept 11pm - 8am.

Total rest day needed (apart from a bucketload of admin - applying for a trustee job & preparing for London tomorrow).

(injured) shoes: Brookes Ravenna 8

BOK park/urban Oldbury court - having spent 6 hours at the place helping with World O day, juniors from schools. nice day/weather. Hip/SI v sore tho.

Blue, 6.8km, 280m, long tough course by Adam! 59 mins; non competitive.

Misses on 3 (should have gone down & round - 45secs?), 9 (overshot - crossed river too early - 1minute+), 13 missed underpass, 15 secs, 16, pikey scum, 15 seconds of arguing. Then just slowed down as hot & tired, & hip/SI sore. BOLLOCKS.

incident with pikey trash at no 16 who "knows are rights - you has violated ours human right's by running passed are window, it sets' the dog's off, we are making a complaint, you ain't got no permissions, " blah blah. Nuke 'em high, say I. Boooom. Dear reader, you're paying for their free house.

Great day out, tho at 9.5 hours i was totalled by the time I got home. (Collected a few controls too)

Steady/easy run to test out psychosomatic "pain" in LH calf (the one that tore in early March)

No pain at all after the first 200m, confirming it's probably all in my head. Best not shadow any M16s tomorrow evening though....
