Swimming 25:00 [3]
(injured)

Quick swim in Horfield pool, to see how LH shoulder was doing and to re-hab lower back which is still hurting 24/7. Some crawl, (good for back?) ,and some breast stroke (shoulder vastly less painful than last time i tried - a relief).

Calf: I can now walk almost pain free- but this isn't about the calf - until my back is better, running again will simply re-injure the calf immediately, as this succinct summary from my osteopath (90 seconds - recorded so my physio, Liz etc know what/why I'm cronked) shows. The grade 1 calf tear is only a symptom, not the cause, of my woes.

Note

Following a relapse to my calf injury on Friday, it is clear that the JK is not going to be possible; nor remotely worth the risk.

If my calf "pulls" again, I will not be able to participate in my climbing trip in April either - including being able to walk with heavy rucksacks at airports etc.

Therefore, I am drawing a line under my spring 2018 "season" now, and will not try running again until after my climbing trip (late April).

(the cause of my calf tear - my troublesome lower back / LH buttock - is far from fully resolved, too - this is a priority).

I hope everyone has a good JK.
