Thursday Mar 15 #

(injured) (rest day)

Physio - gives me 60/40 against racing the JK

good treatment. tear grade 1 of soleus near achilles but also near the upper calf point of join. Which means it's not great news.

I'll "know more by Sunday/ Monday" - will make decision then. Happy to miss JK if it avoids anguish, stress, worry, pain, & further injury. more than happy, in fact.

Advised to walk , which is good, because i can walk now pain free(more or less) and it's very good for my back.

Wednesday Mar 14 #

(injured) (rest day)

Rest & recuperate from osteopath. Walking as much as I can. Foam roller & ice intermittently.

Tuesday Mar 13 #

11 AM

Cycling 34:03 [3] 10.8 km (3:09 / km) +80m 3:02 / km

shorter cycle ride including an errand. Not as ghastly as last one. Not saying much, that, tho.

Calf sore today - ice, foam rollering. JK i'd say 50/50. Could just be a nice Easter break in cannock chase with good people now. Can't forget how Jane Baldock - crippled & hopping after the JK Middle last year with a nearly broken ankle - smiled & celebrated with me in the pub after my silver in M50L last year, I need a bit of that attitude. (later in 2017 she was W35 British Sprint champion - karma).

Bloc indoor climbing with Clio - OK; only one sharp stab/twinge from bad calf.

The osteopath to look at back. I need to find a way to stop my back drifting out like this - the effects are worse and worse & it seems to be happening more & more.

Straight to pub with BOK (after their training run), & then on to sleep at Clifton flat (again).

Monday Mar 12 #

(injured) (rest day)

Calf sore, LH hip/buttock really sore. Hmmm.

Spent day in Clitfon working on flat. Spent last night there too. All bloody great.... tempted to move back.
