Note
(rest day)

Last sleep in 56 mendip.

Only two car loads to the tip with sofas & another to house; definitely a rest day by recent standards!

Very tired.

Bought LIz a huge pub lunch & had beer with it. Because.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [2] 4.0 mi (22:30 / mi) +50m 21:40 / mi

5 hours sleep (as expected).

My O Saturday series event tyntesfield. Been a worry for a while.

Hanging controls from 8:30 am (Mark Burley helped too). All done by 10:45am.

Rushing around but in control for most of the event, so all good.

Many people arrived, over 100, and well over 50 on Green

Very pleased with how it went. and generous feedback afterwards - I was remiss re. fences, and the undergrowth at no 2, my excuse is being so busy moving house & the gig etc, but I should carry the can. Great to see elites such as Ben M, Ben M & Megan right at the top with incredible times on the Green course!!! And Ben Mi made a mistake too!

Helpers were fantastic, esp. UBOC & Tommi, Phil W & team and the First aid team & Alan Honey & registration.

Big day / evening - moving house til mid afternoon then prep. for gig.

Brilliant gig at Blue lagoon (formerly Prom Wine bar) on Gloucs road. with Escape the Loop. 2 sets, played 9:30 - 12:00 with a break, crowd baying for more, the usual ! :)

lots of mates there.

If you like happy funky tunes with a fab female voice, seriously talented key/sax player and of course your truly on guitar, plus funky bass, GET DOWN & SEE US! we attract a lot of females to the dance floor ...... (must be my awesome stage presence (not).

V happy.

Jog to Liz's; feed cats, sit with cats, drink tea, jog back.

Knackered.
10 AM

Orienteering 1:15:00 [1] 4.5 mi (16:40 / mi) +90m 15:42 / mi
shoes: Mud Claw 333

(note: lifting a box of books "wrongly", if only for 5 seconds, nearly f**ked my back up - extremely worrying; let's hope it doesn't come to anything)

Tagged all sites at Tyntesfield for O event satruday. All went very smoothly. Back seemed OK.

Then continued moving carloads of stuff to new house. Wish I'd kept it now & filled it with lodgers....?

Note

4 car loads today.

no need to do any "training" for while, at this rate.

Move seems to be going OK.

New neighbours seem fine, if a bit "yoakle". Bristol has weird people.....
