Gym - 18 minos exercise bike (7.5km), then quick legs workout (Seem to have tweaked my upper back, so leaving that), then cross trainer - unlike Monday, this was acceptable to my knee, which shows clear & quite rapid progress.

Reckon i'll be running within 2 weeks now. This is good.

But I'm not happy - this is very boring. (the gym)

TCA with Liz & Nellie

Knee in support.

Not bad; didn't do anything hard. LOts of juggy routes & allowing ALL holds for feet especially left foot.

Knee quite twingey- but a world of difference from that & the pain in the OMM, and less painful than even last Sunday's 2 hour walk in the New Forest, so all good I guess? Ice & ibupr. gel when I got home.

Bike ride in dismal rain / poor light, grim, up to Whitchurch, on "new" red bike, in Karrimor leggings I'd bought for OMM.

not remotely enjoyable, and also, not as full on as bike machine in gym, as sometimes you're not pedalling (downhill; at traffic lights).

No way can I maintain my pre-OMM fitness doing this!!!!!

Still, knee only tiny twinges doing this - seem to be on the mend. 2 weeks til running again? (freely).

Yawn.

upstairs for weights room - grim; arms v stiff from Monday.

Phew - ice & ibuprofen & rest seem to have reduced the pain in my knee. Taking a rest day anyway, just to be sure.

RIGHT calf sore from favouring it during walking stick hop / walkO yesterday (for 2 hours - ouch).

Knee pretty sore today. Not hopeful of this getting better any time soon. Or maybe it will hurt anyway? as torn? and it's fixing & this pain is OK, to be expected, and not harmful in itself?

Whatever.

I have a membership I should use it.

tried cross trainer - urm, no, not good - less than 2 mins.

15 mins on exercise bike - 5km? not great, but not awful

45 mins upstairs in weights room .Fun, (not)

15 mins on bike again in front of mindless TV screens. 5km. 250 calories burned. oh good.

Sauna; removed knee strapping.

Ice & ibuprofen when I got in, the pain is starting to get me down. May not do MM's again. One thing I MUST learn - do NOT say "Yes" to stepping in to do races / events that I've had no time whatsoever to prepare for, if I do OMMs again I will spend a while prepping. Mind you, those tussocks... it's not fun.

Right now this ain't worth it. Sorry Mark.
