Cycling 4:00:00 [3] 35.0 km (6:51 / km) +635m 6:17 / km

Cycling - Mary Towneley loop, day 2, Charlie's 50th birthday & Martins' 47th.

GOod 1st half to Stoodley pike then the tough terrain took its toll

Decided to drop out at Bottomley and really enjoyed kicking back & riding Rochdale canal with many stops, back to Hedben Brdge. Brakes going again.

Great w/e and very knackering!

Garmin died after 5.33 miles, so Mapometered the rest.

Mary Towneley loop - day 1 - made it to lunchtime, but rear brakes gone & soaked, so after lunch just rode 10+ miles on road (huge hill at end - walked it) with Mike Adams to finish. Huge day out.
15 miles / 2:30hrs, 1650ft climb (to lunch), off road
then 17.2km with 303m ascent on road - 75 mins?

Running 39:30 [4] 4.2 mi (9:24 / mi)
shoes: Mud Claw 333

Holme moss run with charlie, no warm up, had had a 4 hour grim drive in rain & traffic to that point.

Charlie running with major spring in his step & i was on the ropes by 20 mins, gasping for air. Luckily the last 10 mins was downhill-ish with less wind and he tripped over a few times so i got my breath back & didn't suffer a complete humilation.

"But what's he done on the roads?" I hear you all cry. I can't keep up in terrain...

Running 34:00 [3] 4.67 mi (7:17 / mi) +75m 6:56 / mi
(injured) shoes: Brooks Ravenna 5

Steady easy run with v sore l hamstring, and niggly R achilles, to windmill hill, up & around, down other side, back along Marksbury rd (fast road), over railway back home.

dark & nippy.

Hamstring hurt more than achilles, which was novel.
