BOK Tyntesfield. Blue. Started well but Clive Hallett put me off as a loop took him past me en route to no 1. Settled down, being cautious about calf and also some doubts over my "fitness", and carved away at each control. Wimped a bit on hills, and slopes. Reluctant to leap over anythin (calf). Took good route on the long leg, and stuck to the task - the only leg I equalled Clive's time (8:14). Desperately flogging mysel around the final controls in a doomed effort to beat Pete Ward's time - a slight miss near the end meant i was 1:03 behind him, a slightly disappointing 3:40 behind Clive, and a whopping 6:13 behind Adam Potter, who is now in a completely different league.
http://www.bristolorienteering.org.uk/sites/defaul...My best run of the century remains, sadly, Tyntesfield February 2008, 5 years ago, when from nowhere (I'd not had much of a BOK profile up to that point), I was 1st BOk runner home and nearly won the whole thing - 6.2km in 38! not as fast today - tho the course was tougher today (just).
