Easy walk in Richmond Park with sister. Then travel to Harvester, Bordon, about an hour away. Meal in pub with most of SYO, watching Murray's agonies on the TV, I went to bed at 10:30 but apparently, he won. No idea how.
Wimbledon - Centre Court tickets - so a great day out, ending up at Debbie & Michihiro's in Kingston for beers & pasta. Great to see Federer & Djokovic play.
Walk with Liz - sometimes in misty drizzle - in Wye Valley from Ban-y-Gor car park area up Offa's dyke path to Devil's Pulpit then on to the campsite, back via woods & fields. Wore big mountain boots as training, and had extra weight in my pack. Knackered.
7 sport roues at Gilwern Hill, near Abergavenney, varying from esay (5) to rather hard (6b). Unable/unwilling (!) to free climb the two harder ones - rested on the bolts. Good day out & nice to get fresh air & views of the Black Mts.
Easy run around Ashton Court estate with map, felt good despite the exahusting gig the night before & only about 5 or hours' kip. Charlie biked around the same loop twice. Perfect excursion for the day and followed by mucho sport on TV :)
THis gig has to count as sport, as I was shattered, soaked in sweat (dripping off my face for a lot of the second set) and went on til midnight. THis wasn't culture- this was physical work!!!! :) Excellent gig (despite power cutting out twice in the second set and no help from numpty "sound man").
Goblin Combe, 3 trad routes, two HVS leads, quite hard & a bit scary, good tho! Ended up practising gear placements & resting on gear / "falling" - good for confidence.
