Note

JK relay splits are up. Kev Fielding - in the mass start with me - clearly did a Tett & was appalling at no 1.

Inconclusive. Still hurting in hips / buttock.

Running race (Road race) 18:51 [5] 5.0 km (3:46 / km) +12m 3:44 / km
shoes: Saucony Fastwitch 6

B&W fast 5km, Pomphrey, new course,

1at Vet50, 18:51 official (18:49 on my timer, as started 1-2 secs behind line)

Start fast, Tim Tett ahead, going too fast.

3:34 , 3:45 (overtook Tim, but Paul Deaton & the leading women Vet45 overtook me) , 3:52, 3:55 (ouch), then somehow 3:42 as I caught my clubmate Paul Deaton, and as I moved out to sprint him, I caught his foot with my knee, breaking his stride. I apologized immediately, but still pulled away to win Vet50

Tim Tett dropped out, as his foot hurt. Later he was running around saying it was no longer hurting. Phew (felt guilty). So a win, and an OK time, but not exactly a great feeling , as doing an steady run would have been more sensible. Fast running isn't easy anymore.....

New course? Fast but not superfast. Good value! May do it next month to help a friend break 20.
