Less time to prep at start than I would ahve liked

Running race 15:58 [3] 5.0 km (3:12 / km)

Ran a fairly good race maybe with too high expectations (sub 15:50).

First lap felt just right, then we settled into a group which felt ok (turns out it was going far too slow).

Phil went off so quickly round the leader and I just couldn't go with him.

Then coming into the final lap I was feeling pretty dead and the guy leading was telling me to go past. Couldn't tell if it was encouragement or to shelter from the wind. Told him I couldn't!

Then coming into the final corner I started to push overtook him and led into the home straight. At this point I thought I was going to come 16:10 as I didn't think I could make it in time looking at my watch.

Crossed the mile marker and realised II could, killed myself to the line and scarped under 16.

Actually not as happy as you would expect from this race as I think my prep wasn't great, but good to finally go sub 16 :)
