Hodgson's Leg 4 (with Rhys) - 3rd team.
Set with Helm, about 5 down on Keswick (Lamby and Carl) and with Ambleside (Elk and Gary) 2:30 ahead. Steady along the track to the first CP then settled in to a nice rhythm on the climb. Gapped Helm and gained a lot of time on Ambleside up to Hart Crag. Rhys got some cracking lines over to Fairfield in the clag but we couldn't tell the gap to the others. Descending to the coll before St. Sunday we spied Matt and Gary beginning the climb (maybe 45s-1min ahead). Nothing to lose to we tried to push hard up to the summit and closed the gap to maybe a bit less than 30s. Always going to be a big ask chasing those two down a runnable descent but we gave it our best and kept the gap about the same until the road where we knew 3rd was safe and that we couldn't catch them so rolled in to the finish for 3rd.
2nd fastest leg time of the day (about 1min~ down on Keswick). Pretty horrid conditions so a slow year generally for times. Both worked hard though.
Some really good running from the team today, great bunch of guys to race with. Excited for the FRA's in a couple of weeks now.

ShUOC intervals. Back on Endcliffe, back in the mud, good stuff. 3x4mins(90s) then a 2 person relay alternating laps (4xlap[2~recovery]). Fun session, wet and cold but moving better than expected on the flat. Mostly with Joe.
