Started running the Skiddaw race. Got a bit up Jenkin and body was wrecked, racing yesterday and pretty hungover so nipped it in the bud there. Might be a bit wimpy but it was a bloody daft thing to try and do. Not the sort of race, especially the descent to not be at it, didn't want to risk injury. Plenty of other races.

Blackfell English champs race - 4th (1st u23).

Started alright, settled in to my own race. Moving nicely with Matt, 10th~ at cp1 up to 3rd/4th with sav, Matt and Joe at cp3. In a good position by cp5, thought I could get 2nd, was moving well but got a duff line. Went with sav then changed my mind with Joe (v angry we messed up haha!) but kept working well and nipped back past Dan H by the end. Good result and fairly pleased with how I ran, especially climbing. Just should gave backed myself at the end. Told myself to before but when push came to shove in the race I thought it safer to stay with the pack. Great race though and pleased with the result. Good team packing as well! Feel as though this run goes some way to better reflecting the work I've been putting in which is encouraging.

Easy trot on Latrigg, was going to be longer but felt tired so cut it short. Black Fell on Saturday and a lot of travelling/racing last weekend so need to be sensible for it.
