shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 235

Nice afternoon run out with Matt as a lot were running XC or busy. Up Porter, then cut across to Lady Cannings, up on the Moor to Oxstones then down and along to the pub, then down Limb Valley. Cut back up to the road, then down through the fields/woods back to Porter, along, then back to Endcliffe. A little tired on the last k and a bit chilly, but nice chat and a nice run.

Bit before parkrun, some solo, some with Matt, satellites took a bit to get online.

Running race (Endcliffe Parkrun) 16:35 [5] 5.0 km (3:19 / km) +77m 3:05 / km
shoes: Inov-8 F-lite 230

Endcliffe Parkrun-1st

First time running the parkrun in Sheffield. Went down with Matt, both looking for a faster run. Set out steady, wary even, as I didn't know the route or pacing, but began pulling out a lead. Good up to the junction, quick check back on the harpin, maybe a 10-15m gap with Matt and the other guy. Pushed on down the road and back in to the gates, constantly asking the marshals for directions. Felt pretty sluggish on the run up to the junction again but had held a similar lead to the first lap so wasn't losing time on the other guys. Pushed again on the road, dodging a load of people who were apparently 'single file' then back in the park and a last grind around the small loop before finish.
Happy with the time and happy that Matt got his PB coming in second (SHUOC representing). Quite enjoyed the course.

Running 20:51 [1] 3.55 km (5:52 / km) +71m 5:20 / km
shoes: Inov-8 F-lite 230

Chatty warm down with Matt, up Bingham then along Hangingwater and Fulwood.
2 PM

Running 29:20 [2] 6.15 km (4:46 / km) +110m 4:23 / km
shoes: New Balance 1080v3

Easy recovery cruise up to Forge Dam then along the top of Bingham and back up. Feeling ok just trotting.

Running 1:19:46 [2] 15.37 km (5:11 / km) +335m 4:41 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 235

Run out in Rivelin with Matt and Will. Up Crookes from mine too Beres then down in to Rivelin, easy along the bottom then out up Coppice then down Bole Hill and a bit in Western park before heading back. Moving ok, after counting up, there was 120m more climb than my garmin had said but haven't put it on (never really get why they're so far out), nice run.

Orienteering 49:11 [2] *** 7.56 km (6:30 / km) +100m 6:06 / km
spiked:22/22c shoes: Inov-8 x-talon 212

SHUOC Event at Burbage, planned by Jose.
Moving slowly, partly through last night and also the impossible bracken and heather. Focused on technique because of slow pace, really switched on for the mines section (1:2000). Nice event, may run it again sometime.

Time includes my emergency bog stop...

Running 28:22 [2] 5.69 km (4:59 / km) +37m 4:50 / km
shoes: New Balance 1080v3

Tired, moving slowly, back to the flat.

Running 16:08 [2] 3.89 km (4:09 / km)

Horrible early morning breeze in to the station. Wet, dark and cold, proper Sheffield. Some seriously sketchy side roads in the city centre too.
9 AM

Running (Physiological test ) 1:10:00 [5] 14.0 km (5:00 / km) +14m 4:59 / km
shoes: Inov-8 F-lite 230

Warm up, test, went from 12kmh-20kmh and made it through about a minute of it. I've gotten thinner, lost weight and faster. Good work, tough.
5 PM

shoes: New Balance 1080v3

Bloody annoyingly having a day off running, phys testing on Wednesday so want to be in best form for that. Not tired, work to do though so probs for the best. Circuits later. Going to skip intervals tomorrow too, go for an easy hour or so I think...
