Nice run out, fields to scout camp, the over to frolesworth, then fosse meadows, up to claybrooke (v.nice), then had to bash across a load of crap, nettles, brambles etc so pace slowed at the end. Calves were quite tight and a couple of niggles but enjoyed it.

Out with harriet, really quite hungover following friday's celebrations (results). Out easy Dunton way, got scared by cows so went round the boggy way, ruining her trainers. The rest was just dead chatty, catching up, felt like I may chunder all the way and a really sharp thing at the back of my throat. nice to get out, but felt shite.

Nice fartleck on burbage, calves v sore. Day off tomorrow again, easier week because of Scotland and the park run Saturday. Quite happy with how I've wound this week down.

Bit of a story. Last start because my time was supposed to be '35:21'. As it turns out, the first 2 marshalls weren't told I was last, or forgot or something. I missed the first right turn and so began running the course backwards, without my knowing. Luckily it was a loop. I twigged at about 2k and decided after a small hesitation i wanted a time to work with so tried to bash it backwards on my own. Saw people around the 7k proper to half way point and had to constantly explain but was moving ok. Began to be a struggle around 6.5-8k but then Chris found me on his bike and told me the rest of the route. Caught the rest including dad on the way back in as the race was a lollipop shape. Turned out, I got fastest time, fastest under 20 and fastest senior all in one, running a solo time trial essentially and also a new PB. Good times, but could go faster in a real race.
