Ran the practice course, moving quite well I thought, then a bit of a jog with Harri and then some more on my own. Jogging and stretching after with harri as well, really frustrated then though.

Really frustrating. Did my classic of going in to the race thinking of other people around me, with no plan on the start line, which annoyed me even as I set off. Horrific mistake to number 1, losing a good 1:40 being way too far right, already put me in a bad mood, and feeling a bit ill and tired didn't help, so felt ratty heading off to 2. Fine to the control, a little slow maybe. Next bigger mistake on 3 (2:10) fine until about 200m from the control where I convinced myself I was somewhere I wasn't and so losng my head neae the circle. Mistake on 5 (1:10), furious, again another circle mistake. From there not a bad run at all, although not pushing myself at all now, just going through the motions and feeling a lot more relaxed and calm, with a nice flow. Off the pace from Mikey and Harri but that was almost purposeful, not killing myself on a course I'd already lost. I know I've mentioned a lot of bad habits, but I'll put my hands up in that this was a bad run. Although, a big positive to come from this is I know my technical goal now for the next block now (picture and plan in the circle) so I'm looking forward to working on that. Clean slate in the new year, getting rid of my bad habits and really focusing technically then letting my body do the physical work.
