Strength and conditioning (Knee exercies) 5:00 [2]

Started my knee rehab exercises, painful and very stiff, but glad to be able to move it, locked up a few times, but no agonising pain, hopefully pointing towards to tears/bone damage.

Hard to put in to words how I'm feeling. In the pat few months, I've been up and down form wise, but I've been happy when I've been running. Last night I twisted my knee badly at football and have done some damage to the ligaments in my right knee. Not sure how long I'm going to be out for, but it definitely looks like Stockholm is off the table. I'm devastated, I was so looking forward to it. JEC, well it's unclear as to whether I'll go, if I do, I might not be in the best shape, but if I'm medically fit, then I have another plan up my sleeve.

Knee and calf aren't feeling up to anything, calf very tight after yesterdays run, felt bad on the run and it's got steadily worse through the night. Day off today, rolling and stretching knee joints and the surrounding muscles, then easing off for Stockholm.

Nice easy run, gorgeous for 9 k then a biblical storm for the rest. Few twinges in my knees (ITB's) which was a little worrying. Bike tomorrow me thinks.

Headed out for 22.39km planned that I'd had around for maybe a month but never a chance to run it without other commitments. Started pretty well, first 4k breezed by but then breathing stopped properly, and I realised I was in trouble. Glad I was on this route, but walked the 3k home, really struggling a bit worried. Got back ok and found my inhaler so ok. I think it was triggered by pollen and not having my tablet, so note to self for future. I'll give this another go, perhaps friday I'm thinking.

Note

Got home at 6 tonight and I'm wiped. Back to basics tomorrow, training as usual, probably a steady run. Landed heavily on my right knee last night so not sure how that'll stand up to running.
