Wet! Windy! Slippery!
From Honister up Dalehead, Hindscarth, Robinson, 180 error meant a long contour back to Newlands, Buttermere, Red Pike, ridge to Haystacks, Honister.
Bonking a bit at end, but that was down to me not eating enough. Slow going in the claggy conditions with visibility 10-20m most of the time.
Right ankle (and left a little) extremely painful after Red Pike causing me to yelp and swear every few strides.
Legs didn't feel too bad and it was only really the ankle pain that was slowing me down so much (if you ignore the navigation errors!). Wonder what it is. Maybe a combination of over-pronation, tight achilles and old age, but boy did it hurt. OMM in two weeks should be fun!
