Orienteering 42:16 [3] 5.5 km (7:41 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Hugset SYO Middle distance bramble/mud bath.
Legs feeling tired right from start, but managed to nail nearly all controls. Wobble on way to 2 and slow into circle a few times. 1:30 lost at 15 when I just turned slightly to left when crossing path. Loop round and back to track to see obvious reentrant/control site in front of me! Annoying. Dave P caught me 2 mins at 16 and overtook me on way to last control when I missed path to cut the corner.

Urban Orienteering 55:18 [3] 10.7 km (5:10 / km) +900ft 4:35 / km
shoes: Roclite 295-3 Lightweight

Urban SYO Norfolk Park.
Have been feeling a bit under the weather last few days and woke up with temperature and sore throat this morning so not holding out much hope for a good result today. Weak and feeble up the (many) hills. Poor route to #7, #11 (twice). Just not feeling like I was nailing anything today. Long drag up to finish was really tough.
I had read the pre-race info so did as instructed and punched the crossing point controls. Apparently I was the only one who did this on the brown course!

Urban Orienteering 53:38 [3] 10.7 km (5:01 / km) +300ft 4:48 / km
shoes: NB Road

Urban Nights Kelham Island/Fat Cat.
Ran hard at first and at end, but generally just cruising as it felt so hard. Wrong routes at 8,9,10,14,18 and 22 costing around 3 mins? and at least 500m. Just sneaked in front of a pack on 53/54 mins so result doesn't look too bad, but could have been a lot better.
Vision was OK but glare from shiny map meant I could not see detail in the circle and just guessed where kite would be.
