Running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: VJ Supra

Warm up before SoSOL at Pollok Park.

Orienteering race 45:11 [5] 7.0 mi (6:27 / mi)
shoes: VJ Supra

STAG SoSOL at Pollok Park. Enjoyed running on the new 1:5,000 scale ISSOM map as it made the areas of rhododendron and the 'urban' area round Pollok House much easier to see on the map.
Still not 100% and throat sore again but reasonably happy with my run. It would be nice to get over what ever's wrong with me at the moment and feel well again. A close battle with DaveR and Reiver (who ran the Carnethy Hill Race yesterday!) and pleased to finish 2nd.
A few small wobbles -
Too far left on No 2. Maybe 10 secs lost.
Pushed right between 2 and 3 by the fallen trees but don't seem to have lost any time.
Went to the right round the undergrowth / fight between 3 and 4 as I didn't like the look of the direct line and seem to have lost nearly 30secs to DaveR on this leg!
Appear to have lost some time on 17 to 18. Not sure how.
Again seem to have lost time to DaveR on 22 to 23. Not sure if it was because I went to the right coming in to the control when the straight line might have been okay in spite of the undergrowth screen on the map.
Need to concentrate on reading ahead and running through the controls as I was hesitating a bit too much at some of them.
First ran at Pollok Park in 1971!

Running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: ASICS Gel Hyper Speed 6

Warm up before Linwood Parkrun.

Running race 19:00 [5] 3.1 mi (6:08 / mi)
shoes: ASICS Gel Hyper Speed 6

Linwood Parkrun on a cool, wet and windy day. Course really badly flooded again with many large puddles and areas of standing water on the course. Trail very soft underfoot too so not great for a fast time.
Reasonably happy but still not feeling like I'm running very well at the moment.

Running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: ASICS Gel Hyper Speed 6

Cool down run round the Parkrun course. Legs much muddier afterwards than the cross country race last week!

shoes: Saucony Excursion TR8

Lunchtime run from work alongside the River Leven, a couple of laps round the Lomondgate SUDs Pond, then over the river via the A82 bridge and on to Renton and back.
Lovely day for it.

Running warm up/down 16:00 [3] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: Kalengi Kiprun SD

Warm up before track session. Legs hurting!

Running intervals 32 [5] 4.25 mi (8 / mi)
shoes: Kalengi Kiprun SD

Track session at Linwood track on a cold, breezy evening. Just me and Euan running and he was running very well and I was miles behind on each rep. I thought that I would be feeling fresh after 3 days of no running, but the opposite happened. My legs were stiff and sore in too many places to mention and I suffered badly.
Session was 400m (100m easy jog in 1min) + 800m (200m not so easy jog in 90secs) + 1,000m (200m easy jog recovery in 2mins) + 1,200m (200m easy jog in 2mins) + 1,000m (200m easy jog recovery in 2mins) + 800m (200m not so easy jog in 90secs) + 400m (100m easy jog in 1min).

Running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.5 mi (8:00 / mi)
shoes: Kalengi Kiprun SD

Recovery run round nearby streets.

Did bugger all today. Feel so unfit! Still can't bear to click on the 'Rest Day' icon!

Almost did bugger all today! I hate strength and conditioning!

Road Bike 1:08:00 [3] 15.0 mi (4:32 / mi)

Cycle to work. It's been a while.
Woke up this morning with a throat full of green gunge again, probably explaining the below par performances recently. Body feeling a bit battered so decided to have a few easy days. The original plan was to have another couple of hard weeks training then cut back but my body (and some orienteering and running friends) is telling me to ease back now.
