Running warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.5 mi (8:00 / mi)

Warm up before SoSOL at Pollok Park.

Orienteering race 45:11 [5] 7.0 mi (6:27 / mi)

STAG SoSOL at Pollok Park. Enjoyed running on the new 1:5,000 scale ISSOM map as it made the areas of rhododendron and the 'urban' area round Pollok House much easier to see on the map.
Still not 100% and throat sore again but reasonably happy with my run. It would be nice to get over what ever's wrong with me at the moment and feel well again. A close battle with DaveR and Reiver (who ran the Carnethy Hill Race yesterday!) and pleased to finish 2nd.
A few small wobbles -
Too far left on No 2. Maybe 10 secs lost.
Pushed right between 2 and 3 by the fallen trees but don't seem to have lost any time.
Went to the right round the undergrowth / fight between 3 and 4 as I didn't like the look of the direct line and seem to have lost nearly 30secs to DaveR on this leg!
Appear to have lost some time on 17 to 18. Not sure how.
Again seem to have lost time to DaveR on 22 to 23. Not sure if it was because I went to the right coming in to the control when the straight line might have been okay in spite of the undergrowth screen on the map.
Need to concentrate on reading ahead and running through the controls as I was hesitating a bit too much at some of them.
First ran at Pollok Park in 1971!
