Rogaine 5:25:40 [3] 20.0 km (16:17 / km) +450m 14:38 / km

6 hour Rogaine at Mt Clear with Liz in Mixed super vets class - had 3 entries in the class and we came third - could have scored less points and still came third as ultra mixed vets only got 510 - we got 910. Some similar areas from orienteering and some new thicker areas and some burnt country thrown into the mix. Saw a nice big snake near control 43. Lots of roos and birds. Great weather for it. Made sure we got back early to avoid the food queues.

More training with Liz for the Great Vic Bike Ride - started by riding to top of Stromlo then into the lake for a short section to Black Mountain peninsula then to the arboretum for coffee and then home. Nice riding conditions - warm and no wind. Good warm up for the 6 hour rogaine tomorrow at Mt Clear.

To top of Mt Stromlo and back with the pooch and Liz - nice weather but the coffee shop at the top was not open - only open on weekends now!! New coffee pit stop being set up at the Stromlo crit track but still not open yet - actually 1 or 2 containers being converted into a cycle hub.

Plenty of action at the crit circuit as our defence force (navy) were holding their road and mountain bike races (I thought they travelled by ship!). Caught up with Toph who was there recording times and video etc - they had hired Living it Live.

Pretty leisurely ride around the LBG basins today - peloton of 4.5 - Des only joined on the post coffee shop part of the ride. New bike clothing gear felt good.

Return to street o after a year - near local event in Chapman suburb. Opted to do C course which meant getting 12 of the 20 controls on offer - decide to drop controls that were too high or too far so climbed for the first 3 then downhill or flat afterwards. Felt pretty crappy after 30 minutes but pushed on to the win in C course. Took a compass but did not use it. Expect I will suffer a bit tomorrow.

Travel back to CBR but fitted in watching Scott race D grade at the St Kilda crits - he got second in a field of over 40. They did 45 minutes around circuit in an industrial area where the roads were blocked off followed by 3 laps. No breakaways and he sat in 5th or 6th most of the race until the end.
