MTB 42:00 [3] 18.0 km (2:20 / km) +120m 2:15 / km

Usual MTB ride to arboretum for coffee - gps stopped part of the way so time and distance a guesstimate. Fitted in a ride up to Wide Brown Land today so must be feeling better. Sore heel after last weekends O races which hopefully will get better soon - 4 hour rogaine on Sunday might be a test for it.

MTB 1:29:53 [3] 23.2 km (3:52 / km) +284m 3:39 / km

Recon ride for grannies with Liz - nice cruise around some new very nice bike paths (thanks WA for the gst $) near the Great Wall of Curtin. Did a loop around the new suburb of Denman. Distance should keep the grannies happy and there is plenty of new things for them to gork at. Chilly start today so ride put off until 10am when it had warmed up to 2C.

ride with Peter 1:37:11 [3] 40.15 km (2:25 / km) +394m 2:18 / km
ahr:122 max:167

Everyone in the peleton were enthused after watching the Tour de France team time trial - pace was fast. Second in hill sprint with the return of Peter P to the peleton, despite his claimed 10 kg of extra weight on board. Very chilly start with a -5C overnight - still some frosty patches around even tho the starters gun did not go off until 10am. Coffee stop allowed everyone to warm up their finger tips. Nice still day and sunny (and cold at the same time).

MTB 31:00 [3] 17.0 km (1:49 / km) +120m 1:46 / km

Short spin on the Stromlo single tracks to loosen the legs. Nice still sunny day - what a change compared to yesterday.

O race 1:08:54 [3] 7.05 km (9:46 / km) +154m 8:49 / km

Long distance at Tree Cave Creek - some of the nice forest on the edge of Belanglo - Went thru some great areas of rock and cliffs that I had not seen before - and some thick bits which I wished i had not seen! - Nailed all controls - just a couple of route choices not optimal and too green. Windy as hell again today - but OK in the forest. Finished 3rd in the class but just behind Gordon W. Felt tired at the end but held it together on a route choice that had a wider fire trail route and got the fastest split on that leg even tho I took just over 8 minutes. Maybe these long breaks from running work!
