Run 32:43 [3] 4.01 km (8:10 / km) +98m 7:16 / km

From Opua to a lookout and back on the cool coastal path. Track narrow in parts and hugging the coast line. Trade off between looking at stunning views versus watching your step on the track. Now to get ready for a hard day of touristing.

From Paihia to Opua along a very pretty coastal track. Nice weather. Did a car shuffle after doing some food shopping in Paihia - ladies walked one way and us gentleman the other. Staying in nice place recommended by the Nicole Davis Travel Service.

Peloton of 5 and my bike serviced and frisky. Won the hill sprint despite making an early attack off the front - was passed briefly on the hill but fought back and just squeezed between Paul and the (imaginary) spectator barriers near the finish line to grab the win. Nice riding weather and a fast time given we cruised along the Kingston foreshore after coffee (due to the crowds). Last hit out before jetting off to NZ.

Yoga 1:15:00 [3]

Nice session but did not cope with 'eagle' very well - felt more like a sparrow.

O race 51:52 [3] 5.06 km (10:15 / km) +189m 8:38 / km

First event on the Murdering Shed map since we set courses for Day 2 of Easter 2016. Chose Red 4 and 4.2km course as not wanting to push too hard. Area quite familiar so no technical hassles (courses further south than Easter shorter courses but thru areas where we took the elites)- just slow going up hills and there were some quite green and rocky underfoot bits. One route option had a road leg along to where the cars were being parked (tried to hitch hike this bit but no takers). Nice weather.
