strength (shoulders, core) 1:00:00 [0]

I'm taking a bit of training credit for scrubbing walls and floors to remove the 'memories' of Vincent the cat, who peed on them to the point we finally couldn't live with him any longer and put him down. Actually takes some shoulder and core work. Actually probably scrubbed for 2.5 hours... Starting to run out of places that need scrubbing. Still love the cat.

trail trotting 37:21 intensity: (14 @0) + (9:28 @1) + (9:20 @2) + (18:16 @3) + (3 @4) 2.4 mi (15:34 / mi)
ahr:115 max:139 slept:9.0 shoes: saucony whites

Trot down Janice's Jive and back up Stinger and the gasline. Motivated to get my heart going so I'd score the 40 extra 'vitality points' from the corporate wellness program for having exercised 5x in a week. (I guess they know how to motivate lazy employees because they've suckered me in to downloading my HRM for them every day.) Beautiful day once again. What a great summer we're having.

hill hiking (to top of Near Point) 3:31:32 intensity: (1:43:13 @0) + (50:03 @1) + (20:43 @2) + (36:18 @3) + (1:15 @4) 8.1 mi (26:07 / mi)

Felt much better than last time we attempted this. We didn't go very fast. Muggy. And the top was in the clouds. Beautiful monkshoods blooming. I think they're my very favorite wildflower. 1:46 to the top

Walk with Dan on trails: Panorama, S fork, blueberry, hemlock knob, back through the streets. Stiff hips by the time we finished. Not much work.

trail trotting (trot-walk) 40:31 intensity: (52 @0) + (8:56 @1) + (11:27 @2) + (18:45 @3) + (31 @4) 2.8 mi (14:29 / mi) +347ft 12:58 / mi

Another beautiful evening. Hip hurting again, but mostly just when on pavement. ? Felt rotten trotting (partly the heat?) but still enjoyed it. Since I'm not running well at all, I've decided to not go to Laramie Daze en route to CT. Wait for a year when I'll enjoy it more. If we don't go to CT 'til the week after, I may change my mind again since it's a great time for me to be away from work.

trail trotting (trotting, no running) 44:11 intensity: (23 @0) + (11:15 @1) + (10:16 @2) + (17:01 @3) + (5:16 @4) 3.14 mi (14:04 / mi) +525ft 12:09 / mi
ahr:116 max:139 slept:6.5 shoes: saucony whites

Hot evening. and sunny. Up south fork rim, down panorama trail. First full-body tumble in a while. Sun in my eyes and trail obscured by tall grass. The narrow trails are becoming un-trottable due to eye-high grass that hides the tree roots. Soon I'll be stuck on ski trails. Felt decent; didn't try to speed at all. No hint of hip hurting. Yay!
