Oh, an impressive performance!!! I spent 17 extra minutes looking for the fourth? control. finally bailed out by heading toward the speaker at the arena. Happened upon my control 12 on the way back, so relocated from there and found it. Very frustrating. I was quite happy with all the other legs. Without that grave error, I would have done pretty well. I think the mistake was from trying to simplify the leg and not checking out every little feature. I guess I should stick with paying attention to the details some more -- or at least where there's potential to get really lost. Also, counting paces and bailing out sooner.

Actual time was 1:47:??. Hideous. Three major errors, including one out of 1/2 ignorance.... Generally had fun. I need to figure out the right amount of detail to pay attention to in the woods... If I subtracted out my three major errors, I would have been quite near the tail end but much more satisified. Two errors probably resulted from lack of concentration, partly due to subtraction. The really dumb one was from not understanding where the finish actually was. I went a little way out of my way to check some control numbers. I should avoid that if I know where I am and it's not where my control should be. If it might be one of my later controls and I'm not sure about my location, it would be a good idea to check it.
