Earthquake Park. I navigated pretty well. First time I think I've o'd there and not gotten hopelessly lost. Tried crossing the deep ditch on a log, which broke so i crashed about 5 feet into the creek. Didn't break my arm like sister Jane but did wrench my shoulder pretty nicely.

Traverse - up Falls Creek trail to South Suicide Peak, down to McHugh Lake, back along Rabbit Creek to Moores'. Pretty steady climb for 3 of the 4 hours it took to reach the peak. I was a little spooked along ridge so held on a lot. Gorgeous day. 5000' peak. 5500 total vertical.

Super beautiful day. It's been raining for a month. The forest is moist. The birds and squirrels were calling. The light is the slanted light of autumn. Trotting was lovely downhill, difficult uphill. time is a guess.

Another assault on Rainbow Peak but didn't reach the top. Dan bagged it and descended to pick berries. I continued on and found a better route but turned around for lack of timeFelt SUPER tired esp during first hour on the way up. Too hot?

Tried to motivate myself by getting the TV to work and watching the Olympics while doing some strength work. Found 'Alaska State Troopers' more interesting than the Olympics. In any case, didn't get much strength work in.

Time is a WAG; tired of dealing with my stinkin' Garmin. Felt half decent. Made trotting motions up 2.5 hills on the gasline. Dan and I decided we're off wine and cookies until mid-September. At least for today.
