Squash 1:00:00 [5]

2-3 loss to Stan
Persevered with the short attacks and got better rewards today with 2 games. Still need to work on consistency on backhand volleys and drops, particularly on pressure points at the end of games.

Orienteering race 19:24 [4] **** 2.7 km (7:11 / km)

Sydney Sprint Series 1 at Lindfield (Crimson Hill)
Nice updated map with lots of new apartments making it trickier. Stuffed up the rocky bush section 7-11. Nothing in the legs. Finished well back 17th.

Squash 1:00:00 [4]

New years match vs Stan. 0-5 again. Applied what I learnt from yesterday's video analysis - attacked more short & hunted for volleys. Put him under some good pressure at times but need to keep practicing this approach & reduce the costly tins. Used a heavier Prince Exo3 as my Ashaway strings broke yesterday. Got better with every game as I got used to the extra weight but still not enough to get a game from a ruthless & confident Stan.

Squash 1:00:00 [4]

Real final match of the year with Stan. Had a couple of game points in the 1st but then lost 5-0 again :(

Video recorded the match and analysed it in the alley afterwards. Raj's tips definitely working - we're both looking much less rushed than 6 months ago. Both have more deception in our shots. Starting to look a bit more 'pro' than 'street'.

2015 Training Summary

A consistent year of training clocking over 340 hours. Thankfully was (relatively) injury free & healthy throughout except for the chronic knee issue and an ankle sprain which kept me out of action for 2 weeks in July.

SQUASH - 179 sessions, 183hrs (53%).
Did shorter high intensity sessions compared to previous years. Focussed on drills with Krishna & Keelan in the second half of the year which improved my shots. Endurance has dropped off with less extended 2hr+ training sessions.
Highlight - Winning Div-2 Spring Pennant.
2016 goal - Reach 270 matrix

SWIMMING - 59 sessions, 43hrs (12%). Mostly low intensity which helped muscle recovery & injury prevention.

OREINTEERING - 61 races, 40hrs (11%).
Mostly local score courses. Did more Sprints & MetroLeague.

RUNNING - 35 runs, 37hrs (10%).
No races. Mostly cross training for squash with intervals & hills.

ROGAINING - 2 events, 8hrs (2%).
Teamed with Jem to win mugs at Lane Cove 6hr & 3hr Minigaine at Kincumber.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING - 18 sessions, 6hrs (1%). Didn't touch weights or other gym equipment apart from the battle ropes.
