Cycling (FROGs ride) 2:50:42 [2] 38.5 km (4:26 / km) +79m 4:23 / km
shoes: Giant Anthem 2 XL 2019

Needing a coffee venue with plenty of space around it so we could adjourn with takeaways, the Great Leader decided on Zephyr in East Freo. We launched from Mill Point Reserve, resplendent now with paid ticket parking, and headed down the Freeway and around the river by the usual route. In celebration of his imminent birthday, Peter shouted us morning tea and organised the ordering and delivering, so we were all safely socially distant from the cafe fray. Thank you Peter. Return journey was uneventful if starting to get a bit warm - nice morning out.

Cycling race (Thornlie MTBO) 2:04:16 [2] 26.42 km (4:42 / km) +53m 4:39 / km
shoes: Giant Anthem 2 XL 2019

Great event by tRicky. 2 hr scatter around Thornlie and Southern River with a tiny bit of Gosnells. Excellent map, also by tRicky, and no major stuff ups in my execution. I cleared the Thornlie and Gosnells parts, with the exception of one 10 pointer, and ended up in the top half of the field (just) which is very unusual for me.

Orienteering (MTBO control collecting) 1:13:09 [2] 15.59 km (4:42 / km) +47m 4:37 / km
shoes: Giant Anthem 2 XL 2019

Dumbest effort ever - going out to the NW end of the map to collect 5 controls and not taking anything to carry them with - 5 plates and SI bricks and punches swinging around my neck on thin wires while trying to ride a bike was distinctly uncomfortable and not very safe. Not to be repeated - have to add a backpack to the essentials list.
