Decided to put a few more kms into the legs as part of the FROGs ride, so parked at Kent St weir and rode over to the start at Comer Park. Uneventful, other than a wrong turn off Fern Rd. Lovely morning for a ride.

The outward leg of the ride along the well travelled route via the Narrows, Burswood, Ascot and the Garrett Road bridge to Tranby for coffee. No mishaps or lost riders to report.

Returning via another well travelled route to Comer and then onto Kent St didn't seem very interesting, so I launched off by myself and headed across to the Tonkin and Roe bikepaths. All went well until I decided to explore a path on the north side of the Canning River - interesting area of bush, with lots of placques identifying various species of plant/tree, and mostly dirt path but it went around in a circle and bought me out on the Kenwick Link near the Roe Hwy, so that added a few unexpected kms. Legs and bum are a bit sore after 62 kms in total.

Headed out by car to Kangaroo Gully to see if it would useful as an assembly area for the June MTBO event - verdict no. Set off on the bike along the trail and joined the Munda Biddi Trail to Pickering Brook. Coffee at Core Cider fell flat as they aren't open on Tuesday so it was back through a couple of tracks to rejoin the MBT. Tried a detour near the end to check out another possibility for an assembly area but got confused and ended up back on the MBT and going north again. Retreated to the car and drove around to what looks promising if Hadrien can get the OK for us to use it. Only found one map correction, so that's encouraging.
