CUOC Cambridge City Race. Ran Course 1. Had a great run, though with lots of little mistakes, the only two big mistakes were both on Leg 11-12, where I made a parallel error out of the park, and then another parallel error turning up a street too early near the end of the leg, causing me to have to go "around the block". Some legs were very crowded with people, especially 8-9 (but serves me right for picking a late start time), also a key street was closed due to a fire, from 25-26, so I had to take a long-winded way around. I very nearly didn't spot the opening in the wall from 14-15 - indeed I had started to divert the long way around to the north, before looking at it again.

Had some issues with legibility of the map. It was hard to see the magenta on olive green, and a couple of passages were so small, I didn't see them until afterwards in the pub, .e.g the tiny gap in 16-17. But overall, a great map, a well designed course, some great legs through colleges, e.g. St John's, and the weather was nice to boot too!

Finished 10th of 68 finishers + 9 DNFs, beaten to 9th place by a second, d'oh.
