Road Running long 2:40:35 [3] 30.52 km (5:16 / km)
slept:10.0 shoes: Adidas Adistar Salvations

Through Victoria Park, across Mare Street and along the canal, past the Towpath Cafe and The Narrow Boat to Danbury Road. Then back along hte canal, across Mare Street, back onto the canal at Old Ford Locks, down to Limehouse Marina, along through Limehouse and Wapping, past Tobacco Dock to St Katherine's Dock, under Tower Bridge and past the Tower of London.

Then back along to Limehouse via Wapping High Street, along Limehouse Cut, with a small diversion, along the Floating Towpath (dark), past Bow Locks (impressive) and Three Mills (beautiful building!) to the Bow Flyover. Then, a longer diversion off the towpath due to Crossrail and Olympic works and past the Olympic Stadium and another, unrelated set of locks also called Old Ford Locks, and around opposite Omega Point, with more great Olympic Park views. Yeah, it would make more sense on a map.

Was expecting to feel pretty tired at this point, but was feeling great and pace wasn't slackening. Problem though - should have run 29km at this point and had only done 26km according to the GPS. So, instead of ducking back home past the Top O' The Morning, I went along the Hertford Union Canal, into the open part of Victoria Park (it was pitch black at this point), and around back along Victoria Park Road.

Had to do a few hundred metres more to warm done as legs felt very rubbery as soon as I stopped, but don't feel bad at all - could have easily done another 5km. Didn't take any water or food on the run, the conditions were very pleasant - still and dry, sunny, about 10 degrees.

5km splits (target was 25:00-26:15 the whole way, i.e. 5:00-5:15 kms)

Cycling warm up/down (To/from Event) 50:20 [3] 18.65 km (2:42 / km)

Four seperate cycles - home to Finsbury Park, then to UCL, then to King's Cross, and finally back to UCL.

Road Running race (1925) 19:25 [5] 5.0 km (3:53 / km) vdot: 51.6
shoes: Adidas Adistar Salvations

Finsbury parkrun. PB for the course. Pushed hard on the hills and overtook people on them. Strong finish as someone (who I'd overtaken on the final hill) was right behind at the finish. Finished 6th.

Lucozade were handing out free snacks and nutrition advice at the end - bonus.

Splits:
3:51 (down+long up)
4:00 (down+short up)
3:49 (down)

Cycle Commuting (In to Work) 23:53 [3] 8.42 km (2:50 / km)

Slightly longer than normal due to diversion on Victoria Park Road - due to a cyclist who was sadly killed in a collision with a lorry a few hours earlier.

Put the hammer in coming down Pentonville Road. Max 52.6km/h!
1 PM

Cycling (To/from Event) 20:58 [3] 6.96 km (3:01 / km)

More taxi-baiting to/from Ossies. Route out/back varied a lot thanks due to the various one-way systems in central London.
7 PM

Cycling warm up/down (To Event) 48:30 [3] 19.5 km (2:29 / km)
shoes: Specalized MTB Cleats

To Twickenham from work. I've got this route (to Richmond, at least) down to a tee, now. It's fast and straight.
8 PM

Score Orienteering race (Street Race) 1:03:10 [4] ** 11.94 km (5:17 / km)
ahr:165 max:189 slept:6.0 shoes: Adidas Adistar Salvations

SLOW Street-O in Twickenham. Once again, poor time management meant I was late back - although a least a minute of the delay was caused by trying to frantically count gnomes in a garden. I only found 7 despite my best efforts - the correct answer was 10.

HRavg proves I really wasn't putting enough effort into it. A pretty poor result in the end - I was out of the top 10.
11 PM

Cycling (Back Home) 1:19:29 [2] 28.55 km (2:47 / km)
shoes: Specalized MTB Cleats

From Twickenham, back home via Clapham.
