Similar feels to yesterday and not running at a great pace at all with the amount of rocks around. Big miss on 4 but lots of small misses as well. Time losses on:
#2 a bit too low down
#4 Didn't look at compass when i rounded the cliff and carried on a SW line rather then E ending up far to far south.
#5 took the low route and had to scale some cliff
#7 mistake caused by following Daniel and Sam rather than looking at the map
#18 started searching too early then some faffing again in the circle
#19 ran to the wrong hill as didn't take bearing

Had a nice run but orienteering was pants today. Time losses on:
#3 Found it fine but route too high
#4 Didn't climb high enough so ran down the wrong marshes
#6 Got so close then lost confidence and thought I was too high so dropped 45m
#7 Not the most direct optimal route
#8 Didn't exit correctly so had to run over the rocks/hills
#9 Probably not the best route to 9, lost a lot of height
#12 Nothing fitted and I ended up just following everyone else on other courses in hope figured it out once at the top of the hill.

Only Dessie and Mike today so opted for something different; reverse WASP - Dasses, Nether, down MFD, Dunsapie, up to Nether again, down the steps and then the crags to finish.

Climbs less steep but the descent of MFD more challenging.

Afterwards I did 2 mazes put on by ESOC for World Orienteering day on the Killing Fields. I just about beat the primary school children. Not sure if I beat Peter Molloy who I was surprised to see turned up as well.

ESOC Level D on Whinny Hill as part of World Orienteering Day - Green 4.1km

Since I had my running stuff and inov8s I thought it would be rude not to go. Cruised round with a hired dibber and no compass.
