Was worried area would be tricky for me but plesantly surprised to spike first 5 controls and be just off the leaders. I then spooned 6, 7,11,13, 19 so came in a pack with Will and James 7 mins down.

Shame I couldn't concentrate on my own race here

Never got round to find another team mate so went round again on 3rd leg. Was interesting to see if i would beat my time with so many errors before and i was close - was only 18s down at 19.

Legs not fresh enough for this. 100s miss on 1 and (what I believe) worse route on 6 didn't do me any favours. As expected couldn't hold on at all when Dane, Scott and Ali went through but had a good battle with Tom F 12 - 20 until he bonked.

Rona and Andrew had run well and set me up just before a nice pack of boys Nathan, Ali T and Matt. It soon transpired that the courses were hugely gaffled so just ran my own race and it was fun seeing us cross paths a lot. Picked the right route after spectator so had a sprint in with Matt

Lunchtime Run on the Seat with the WASP group

Last week they did the first part of the 1995 World Mountain Running Champs route. This week they carried on where they left off. Brutal course

Passed lots of people on Whinny Hill in costumes celebrating what we believed to be Beltane fire festival but if you didn't know it looked like a bunch of medieval Celts practicing magic.
