New Years day fun on the Seat
Wanted to do at least one run on the seat while i was up here. Many people out for walks and a triathlon around Queens Drive meant it was very busy on the main tracks. Being my first proper run for ages i just took it steady, especially on the climbs. Decided to include MFD but my quads have clearly forgotten what hills are so this was a fairly abysmal attempt. A kind man did offer me a piece of shortbread once i reached the top which i greatly appreciated.

ELO Festive Frolic @ Vogrie Country Park.
1 hour Score with a festive twist. Festive objects were placed at each control and at the end you had to write down which objects were at which control. I did the orienteering part of the challenge in the fastest time but only got 15 /30 objects right - i clearly should have gone slower and made up a ridiculous story as i went along. Fun event though and leg had no issues at race pace.

2016 Christmas Crib Challenge (i thought this would be more interesting than a 1 hour score around Tilgate) - A score orieteering-style event put on by the local churches where you have to visit all the churches in the area and look at their nativity scenes in 3 hours. At some of the churches i would also be greeted by tea and biscuits.
I had pre-planned my route so i knew it would be around 22km if i got them all. All the churches in Sevenoaks and Otford were on the 1:50,000 OS map provided but i had to rely on map-memory to visit the church in Ightham (lucky i had been there recently).
