Messed up number 1. Rubbish compass.
Ran well within myself for a while and then made another error. Sped up immediately having been caught and comfortably ran away from the guys that had caught me. Then hit the long downhill through heather and ankle started to feel really unstable. I was catching them back up on the smooth/flat stuff, but loosing lots through the rough stuff.
Finally twisted ankle properly going to 16 and walked/jogged the rest to get some UK cup points for next year.
Didn't even feel particularly tired at the end. Had a lot more to give. Frustrated to not be able to test myself physically, irrespective of the navigation. Time for a rethink for the near future. Target - Great Yorkshire 10km.
