It occurred to me during this run that the last time I went over two hours in a training run was very likely sometime last year, maybe one in the winter of this year. And then I didn't care too much, aside from thinking I might well lose some hard won endurance fitness. But then I didn't care again. And then I thought about another marathon, and I really didn't care. I'd sooner go further than that on trails but not this year and maybe not in a race, maybe just cause the trail is there, you know?

After waking up in the middle of the night to puke my guts (no resonable explanation) out I still felt like hell this morning. So I chucked a sickie, except that as I understand it that means faked a sick day. I chucked it for real. Time and rest being what they are - miracle cures - by the early afternoon I was ready, more or less to get back to being myself again. So I went for this here run. Nice and easy as therapeutic excursions ought to be. 28 out, 27 back on the Bruce.
