Started a little way back so I could warm my knee up into it. That didn't last very long then I was in about 5th behind Rob Jebb and next to Tom. Was doing okay until passing the family after which people started streaming past; Mark Purkis, a man with long hair, first lady, a man with grey hair. Somehow found something on the final grass to the summit and overtook those last three and a few more back.

Walked/limped down. Think I bashed the point below the knee where the tendon meets the bone yesterday.

Massive stack on 45-degree slope onto rocks on the way to 12, knees and a few other parts of my body not happy, still second on leg though. Was good fun apart from that. Poor compass on short legs at times. Messed up 8 making features fit and not looking at the contour level, then rushing on 11. Walked/jogged in from 12.

With Fraser. Through Grizedale to Knipe Fold. Up the byway then over Arnside Intake, then over Loughrigg to town.
