Did some warm up and felt really good for it come start time, despite a late night and a heavy breakfast. Went with the pace at the start to remind me what it’s like and was in third for a short while. A few passed me (incl Jack and Jonny) over the first crest. Maintained place on the second up but lost more on the most northerly loop. From there just tried to maintain position. Those in front got slightly further away, someone put some pressure on from behind on the final climb but I put some pressure on the guy in front on the final descent and passed him in the field. 13th +1.54.
