Fell Race (Bollington Nostalgia) 30:00 [3]

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Was having a well fun race with a guy in a vest I didn't know (Michael Salt, Cambridge & Coleridge) just pacing it round together. Me a little ahead on the climbs, him on the downhill roads, and even on the flats. Had almost made it back to the cruise a long the nice flat safe canal towpath towards the finish when we went over a stile, him slipping into it beforehand, and me coming off it and onto what was clearly uneven ground hidden beneath long grass - hearing a noise, twisting my ankle and rolling around swearing. Got up eventually and then started walking back but then got stressed I hadn't waited with a marshall to get a lift back and got more stressed when no cars were coming over the canal bridge to hitch back with. No ice at 'first aid' so drive to Macclesfield A&E who also didn't have any ice (at first).

llenge. Walking 30 miles from Hope round Edale and including over to Kinder Reservoir with Severn Trent people. Was fun and didn't feel ridiculous but had quite a few blisters around my toes at the end.

Would have been a beautiful morning for a run and a nice place (Hope) for an evening run but has stuff to do in the morning and had problems getting there in the evening.

Wiggle down to the river via roads and woods then along Coalport and up Silkin Way from the arches. Felt good for the most part.

Down this side, up the other side, lanes of Broseley, down the other side, up this side. Dark and damp. Got 2nd on a meaty segment.
