Orienteering (BUCS Relay Barr Wood) 32:12 [3] 5.25 km (6:08 / km) +150m 5:22 / km

Probably last starter a few minutes behind the mini mass start making up the EUOC Banter Squad team, 1st leg retired from injury, 2nd leg Kristian Roberts. Was quite cold so set off quite fast. But generally wasn't reading my map too much, and paused to help a couple of people, and couldn't work out where number two was supposed to be. After that fairly decent. Wasn't really making any route choices - just running fairly straight which most of the the time was okay, but wasn't running with much conviction through potentially useful detail (3, 5). Some bits were dead fast but was sluggish on the hills (5, 10). Average round the last loop. Not sure what the real racers were up to as results wise it was a alright time along with dark horse Jack Wood. Well fun area.

Orienteering (BUCS Individual Devilla) 1:06:59 [3] 9.6 km (6:59 / km) +185m 6:22 / km

A bit mixed. Off at number one. Not smooth on the next load. Then went strait to 8, error. Bit scrappy and poor route choices until 13. Then just not shifting. No significant execution errors apart from getting halfway 21 > 23 before realising I better go to 22 first. Hmmm. Pushed alright but my fast isn't actually very fast right now. Made my Bristol Orienteering Old Boys debut.

Note

So err yeah no running this week. We'll see how that plays out after a slow week last week.
