Orienteering (Abraham's Valley Midlands) 1:56:00 [3] 16.4 km (7:04 / km) +550m 6:03 / km

Was doing okay. Not really with it at all on 2, started going straight, decided to go round, went round too early, got caught in brambles, went round too early again, then went up onto the spur too soon, generally poor. After that not so bad, some time lost looking for 4. Caught and passed Richard G and Joe T then just had a mare at 17, getting pissed I'd taken the wrong (straight) route, stressing about the map-turnover, failing to get my food out my pocket, running down the re-entrant northwards, trying to eat my whistle when I thought I'd got my food out. And eventually found when I got to the next reentrant that I'd also dropped my dibber. Searched for it for quite a while and saw R and J pass me. Sort of lost motivation after that faff and was a bit slow on the other side of the OOB stream. Ugh.

Quarry country park night orienteering with a handheld torch. Wasn't enjoying it too much but think it would be a really cool sprint area in the day. Hopefully they organise another event there soon.
