Orienteering (Stock Hill) 48:22 [3] 6.7 km (7:13 / km) +85m 6:47 / km

Went off fast but then got scrappy and bored. Caught by Adam and stopped to let him get away. Tried chasing but wasn't that good, made a mistake, concentrated and took it easy. Wasn't very relaxed, bad run last time here too. Yesterday probably took more out of me than I was admitting.

My first Lakes long. Got the train up via Lewis's but things got a bit screwy so only got to Silecroft 5mins before the start. Thankfully got through to Nic to register for me which he did under a comedy name - cheers Nic.

Good race. Went off a little fast but steadied up and settled into a comfortable pace for a longer race than usual. Good on the fast parts but noticeably poor on the uphills. Nic got the fasted time on the descent. 8th - 1:17:36 +8.34. Results: http://bcrunners.org.uk/races/black-combe/2013

Weird session. 12*250m, only did 10 though properly. Felt very average.

Running race (Pomphrey Sports 5k) 17:17 [3] 5.0 km (3:27 / km)

Wasn't too bothered how I did. Not enough sleep and ate too much before hand. Wanted to be sick on the startline but ran out of time. Got caught by 3rd on the way up to the bridge on the way back - had to race back from there. Bit disappointed but not that fussed.
