Orienteering race (Brereton Spurs L. Green) 20:00 [3]

About 90s lost but managed to keep ahead of the M14As. Poor spur counting to 8, was high to 11 but would argue it was too low. 13 the paths totally through me off; larger than I was expecting and straight ones looking like they were bending. They were behind the control through so I should have trusted by compass and read my descriptions as I was pretty much on line.

Meant to go for a run but had too much work to finish. Then went to check my start times and discovered I hadn't entered. If I'd noticed before 3am they could have got me in but on Thursday night it was too late.

Cofton Park unfortunately not as steep as it feels when racing there so the downhill was a bit of an anticlimax.

Round 2. Kilometers of traffic free ski tracks to enjoy in the heart of Birmingham. Right from the door, wax definitely helped, snow a bit deep in places. Posed for a few photos on the way to co-op. Looks like the final round will be tomorrow morning.
