With Mark Libby and Abi on a course up through the woods over the moor and and round Cod Beck and back. Good relaxed fun.

Surprisingly after doing no training I didn't do very well. Bottomed out in 11th or 12th I think, no, 13th. Got passed by quite a few on the field down from Mackershaw Gate and they strung out a bit in front. I thought I put some effort in along from the drinks point but that had zero effect on my distance to the runners in front. Got overtaken by one more but then managed to put some effort in on the footpaths back towards Hell Wath and that did have some effect on my distance to the runners in front but not on my position. Got beaten by Caroline Lambert.

Was really really cold (minus double digits). Maybe that combined with not enough food meant I wasn't feeling good - felt feint and we decided it was best to cut it short. Went to the cabin and ate and rested.

Cross Country race (Birmingham League XC D2) 40:00 [3]

Stratford-upon-Avon - Welcombe Park. First proper run/race in a while. Course was a good, hilly, twisty, rough, orienteers course. Plan was just to take it very steady but things weren't going very fast at the start so had some fun near the front. Soon backed off and started feeling my knee on the second lap and backed off more. Hurts a little after but not loads. Would love to race there again sometime.
