So I thought I'd go for a run on the Wrekin. Following some diagonal paths I'd not been on before and which turned out to look like some of the most beautiful mtb trails. Up that to the top. Some drills in the little col thing to the south then dropped of through the west open bracken (twisting L ankle) to the bottom tracks. Some intrusive bike trails/jumps have been cut in the braken which are very much not inkeeping with the terrain, almost worth demolishing. And some serious track improvements have been made on the west side, which I assume means some impending forest destruction :-(. Round the bottom and the easiest tracks up the south ridge. Back to Forest Glen hoping the descent would put some sustained speed in my legs. Felt alright running to Tesco later. Wrekin Streak fell race next Wednesday. Met a local guy doing 6 reps training for an early July Bob Graham.
