Note
Eeek way behind on updating. Reflections on WOC to follow. Last month of WOC prep was horrible. WOC middle and long terrain was fantastic, definitely the highlight and loved being out in it. Pretty cool getting to start first in the long and having the whole forest to myself for 2 mins. Which is a ridiculous start interval for the long. 3 minimum. Preferably 6 would be nice.
Thanks to so many people - team Ireland for great company, Aine and Roisin for running super 2 and 3rd legs in the relay (future of Irish o is looking bright), Caoimhe and Olivia tearing it up in the sprint - both definitely have potential to make a sprint final if the right supports could be put in place. Mam, Dad and Killian who minded Conor while I was off in quarantine. Cristina for being a surrogate team leader in the middle. Irish supporters at the arenas were just amazing - what a feeling to run through and see familiar faces. Thanks to those from GMOK too who could be heard loud and clear :-). It was a really enjoyable week. I didn't perform as I would have wished, but I really enjoyed it. And I was very proud when my son snuck into the media tent to get a cinnamon bun :-).
