Orienteering race 1:05:34 [4] 8.1 km (8:06 / km) +200m 7:12 / km
shoes: OROC

Lungs back near enough 100% :) Really enjoyed the run. Struggled a little on the hills, but I think more through lack of fitness rather than the illness. Struggled on downhills minding the ankles :) Navigation was good, although didn't nail many of the short legs, but I got myself into right areas and found the controls.
Had to adjust my navigation technique as I could not see the detail on map. Forgot my O bag which has compass, SI etc....so no magnifying lens.....
A fellow M45 bailed me out with SI and compass. Fortunately the contact lenses are permanently in the car, so wasn't totally blind...that is until I got a twig in the eye en route to #3 and a minute later the contact lens popped out!!! Thereafter I couldn't read the fine detail on map, but I managed fine apart from #11 which was just a blob of brown! also very nearly made big error to last control, but caught myself before going way wrong.

Running 44:53 [4] 10.1 km (4:27 / km) +60m 4:19 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave rider

First training run for 4 weeks!!
First couple km were exploratory, just to see how the lungs were. They felt good so pushed on a bit after that. Lungs not quite 100%. Still little congestion, but no sign of short of breath that I felt last Sunday. Coughed a bit at end, but probably just a help to clear the lungs a bit further.

Only realised on my return that I had wind behind me for first couple km which was an extra reason for me to feel good...but happy just to be running reasonably well

Note

So I'm not claiming to be ill, but I'm certainly not better.
Huge backlog of work now, so did half a day in morning, was wrecked and slept for couple hours in afternoon. Really surprised by this!
Still occasionally coughing up phlegm.
