Orienteering race 1:12:43 [3] 6.62 km (10:59 / km) +211m 9:29 / km
shoes: Salomon Spikecross 3

I haven't exactly fallen off the edge of the universe, but this was my first time orienteering since the spring. I struggled physically because I have been so sedentary lately. It's taken a toll. I also made a major mistake on control 7. I tried to turn in to the woods from the road early and lost a good 10 minutes or more wandering. I violated my own determination to relocate quicker. When I finally did get back to the road, I found it just fine.I feel really good about going out today though. The pleasure of running through the woods combined with the dialogue of friends afterwards satisfied me.

Note

This seems relevant to navigators. It makes me wonder if the sport could at some point need to contend with brain doping.
