Note
(injured) (sick)

Ankle is feeling almost 100% but I think (I hope) the meds are kicking me in the behind. Was quite nauseous the other day so I have to be sure to eat a lot before taking my antibiotics. Been feeling super sluggish and tired. I walk at a snail's pace which is very unlike me and I can't seem to bring legs to move faster.

Leg is feeling so much better already! I can actually feel/ see my medial malleolus (the bone that sticks out of the side of your ankle). Yesterday it was so swollen that it just blended in. Still itchy and a bit swollen but it's not hot to the touch. I'll get it check out tomorrow just in case. I'm hoping the itching stops so I can walk around and actually do stuff tomorrow. It becomes nearly unbearable whenever I walk.

(injured) (sick)

More exciting news in my life!!! Couldn't decide if I'm sick or injured so I'm both.

You may recall I was stung/bit by some nasty little bugger on Saturday. Well now my ankle is infected :) It was kind of annoying on Saturday but the symptoms were pretty typical. Maybe the swelling was a bit more than a normal sting. Yesterday it started to bother me quite a bit, itchy and sore and by mid day yesterday my ankle started to swell. Took Benadryl and put ice on it but that only alleviated the itching and knocked me out for a couple of hours. Woke up this morning and it didn't seem any better. My whole ankle is swollen and itchy.

Went to Urgent Care in Clarendon and the doctor did not like how my ankle was looking. She decided I have cellulitis which is a nice little bacterial infection. I noticed that my skin was hot in the area and she mentioned it and was concerned about it. Got a prescription for some doxycycline hyclate, if it's not completely better on Wednesday I have to go back to the urgent care and if it gets any worse I have to head to the ER for some IV treatment (hopefully not ugh). No exercise for the next week (good thing my bike is broken), have to stay out of the sun and try not to vomit!

Hopefully it feels better soon because it is really uncomfortable and my poor ankle is all poofy. I really think I'm cursed... there are no words. Anyways for the next week it's Netflix and reading.

Orienteering is dangerous y'all.

Cycling 1:17:00 [3] 17.0 mi (13.2 mph)

Used one of Will's many bikes to go on a ride. It was about 4cm too big (which is a lot) and it is a cross bike so I felt it. Very streched out and everything felt hard lol (that's why we were going so slow...).Still glad I got to go out, roads were nice and empty.
